Colorado: Colorado Adds One to Coaching Staff

Colorado Adds One to Coaching Staff: Colorado coach Ricardo Patton announced the hiring of Sundance Wicks as his third assistant coach for next season. Wicks comes to Boulder from Northern State in Aberdeen, S.D., where he earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees. He played for legendary head coach Don Meyer while at Northern State. Wicks is the second Colorado assistant in the past three years to hail from Northern State. Former assistant Paul Sather worked the Buffalo sidelines in 2004-05 and is now head coach at Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D.

During his playing days with the Wolves, Wicks ended his four-year career with 1,174 points and helped lead
the team to a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference titles in 2002 and 2003. Wicks was a two-time All-NSIC first-team selection and started every game in his career. [6/21/06]
