McNeese State Adds Two to Staff: McNeese State coach Tic Price has announced the hiring of T.J. Marcum and Edward Garriet to the coaching staff. A native of Winsboro, Texas, Marcum spent last season as an assistant on the staff at Texas State and has also held assistant coaching positions at Stephen F. Austin and Denton (Texas) High School. He has also worked at Texas A&M. Two years ago, he spent a year in Iraq working with troops while he was employed by Kellogg, Brown and Root, a division of Halliburton. He served as an area/regional manager with KBR’s morale welfare program developing health and fitness programs for troops at six different military bases in Iraq’s Anbar province.

During a four year playing career at McNeese, Garriet, a native of Beaumont, Texas, became one of the school’s top 25 leading scorers, totaling 980 points. He ranks third on the school’s career list with 229 three point goals. [6/21/06]
