Bradley: NCAA Finds Flaws at Bradley

NCAA Finds Flaws at Bradley: The NCAA gave Bradley University what equates to a slap on the wrist, placing the men’s basketball program on one year probation for infractions that led to the suspensions of two players. NBA Draft-bound Patrick O’Bryant and junior Will Franklin were paid for hours they did not work at a local company. Both have since repaid the unearned wages and cooperated in the investigation. Bradley was also cited for three other violations, including a booster treating a player to a meal worth about $45. Because of the probation, Bradley is required to better inform staff, boosters and players of the NCAA rules and submit a compliance report. Additionally, Bradley is now subject to NCAA bylaws regarding repeat offenders. This is the first time Bradley has been hit with an NCAA violation since 1986.
