Pitino Hires Assistant With Final Four Pedigree: Louisville coach Rick Pitino named former Ohio State Buckeye Devon Smith director of basketball operations. Smith spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach for the Mid-Continent Conference’s Oakland. As a player, Smith was part of the 1999 Final Four team and the 2000 Big 10 champs.
