Red Raiders and Wolf Pack Will Go to Cali: Texas Tech and Nevada will come to San Jose, Calif., in early December to play local favorites Stanford and California in the Pete Newell Challenge. The doubleheader will start with Bob Knight’s Red Raiders vs. the Cardinal, followed by the Wolf Pack vs. the Golden Bears. The event features four strong but unspectacular teams. Nevada could make a statement early in the season by knocking off a major conference foe. The Wolf Pack return all five starters, including rising senior forward Nick Fazekas, who could become next season’s Adam Morrison. [7/06/06]
