Towson: Jim Meil Heads Back to Baltimore

Jim Meil Heads Back to Baltimore: Jim Meil is returning to Towson, where he served as an assistant coach for 15 years, Towson coach Pat Kennedy said. Meil, a Baltimore native, coached at the school from 1982 to 1997. During that period, Towson posted six straight winning seasons and their only two NCAA Tournament appearances. Meil has many ties to the Baltimore region that Kennedy hopes will help the team’s re-cruiting. Since 1997, Meil has worked at Miami and Wagner. Meil is replacing Rob Nor-ris, who recently became an assistant at Cansius College. [7/11/06]
