Boise Swaps With Spokane in 2009: Boise State will host first- and second-round NCAA tournament games in 2009 instead of 2010. Spokane will then host the games in 2010. Although Spokane was originally scheduled to host in 2009, the NCAA made the switch so Spokane would not have to host men’s or women’s NCAA Tournament games for three consecutive years. It will be the eighth time Boise State will host NCAA tournament games, with the most recent occurring in 2005. The school first hosted games in 1983. The other sites in 2009 are Philadelphia; Miami; Minneapolis; Kansas City, Mo.; Portland, Ore.; Greensboro, N.C.; and Dayton, Ohio. The Final Four will be at Detroit’s Ford Field. The 2010 Final Four will be in Indianapolis. [7/16/06]
