Kansas State: Kansas State Adds Player to Program

Kansas State Adds Player to Program: With practice set to begin in just under a month, Kansas State and new head coach Bob Huggins announced the addition of Jermaine Maybank to the roster. Maybank, a senior point guard, is already enrolled in the school’s graduate program in the College of Education. He will be eligible this season under a new NCAA bylaw that permits student-athletes who are enrolled in graduate school with eligibility remaining to participate immediately. Maybank averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds last season while playing for St. John’s, where he graduated in May with a degree in sports management. The addition is a welcomed one as the Wildcats lost guard Mario Taybron, who was dismissed from the team for violating the program’s substance abuse policy.
