Niagara: Two Niagara Players Charged With Assault

Two Niagara Players Charged With Assault: Niagara players Charron Fisher and Stanly Hodge were charged with misdemeanor assault following an off-campus attack of a Niagara baseball player last month. Both have a trial set for Oct. 17. Fisher is a senior who led the team in scoring at 18.3 points per game last season. Hodge, a junior, led the team with 111 assists and averaged 3.3 points per game. Hodge and three teammates had previously been charged with disorderly conduct. Athletic Director Ed McLaughlin said the players remain on the team, pending a school investigation. [9/15/06]
