Gators’ Luck Runs Out in Vegas: Kansas knocked off No. 1 Florida 82-80 in the championship of the Las Vegas Invitational — a possible national championship preview. The Jayhawks held off the Gators, whose 17-game winning streak came to an end as Kansas overcame a dogged rally by the defending national champions. Sophomore Julian Wright posted a career-high 21 points to lead the Jayhawks, which survived an open three-point buzzer-beater by Corey Brewer. Taurean Green had given Florida a three-point lead in overtime and led the team with 25 points. But Green committed a critical turnover, which allowed Kansas to take the lead in the final 30 seconds.
