49ers Lose Center: Charlotte freshman center Phil Jones will sit for now because the NCAA has declared him ineligible. The NCAA reviewed Jones’ academic records from the prep schools he attended in high schools. Everything apparently wasn’t kosher, so the 49ers must play without the 6-10 freshman. [11/18/06]
