USC’s New Practice Court Is a Little Too Slick: USC’s new practice court inside the Galen Center has a surface that is a little too slippery for the tastes of the Trojans. “Someone made the comment that it looks like a huge bathroom,” junior Gabe Pruitt said. That’s probably not what Trojan officials expected, considering the facility’s multimillion-dollar price tag. Some of the Trojans expressed optimism that the court would eventually work out, and coach Tim Floyd said the conditions were an improvement compared with earlier ones, when the court was covered with construction dust.
