Pitt’s Young Hampered by Knee Injury: Pitt forward Sam Young has been suffering all season from left knee tendonitis, and this past week, the injury grew worse. After Young played 14 minutes in Pitt’s win against Duquesne Wednesday, coach Jamie Dixon said Young did not practice Tuesday and that the knee had flared up again. Dixon and Young seem frustrated by the injury, and Young has refused all media interviews. Dixon has come to the realization that the knee pain is something Young will have to deal with all season.
