Joint Scholars Not Welcome in Krzyzewskiville: The Duke student government ruled to ban Roberstson scholars from camping out for tickets in Duke’s student section after certain students wore Tar Heels gear at the Duke vs. North Carolina game last season. Robertson scholars can take classes at both UNC and Duke interchangeably. When some students wore Carolina blue in the Blue Devil student section, Duke students thought it impacted the outcome of the game, which the Tar Heels won. Although the majority of Duke’s administrators do not agree with the ban, they feel that getting involved would only make the situation worse. Good news for Robertson scholars: Even though they are ineligible to camp out for student tickets, they can still try to buy tickets the day of the game. [12/13/06]
