Oklahoma Shapes Up After Recruiting Violations: The Sooners have implemented ways to prevent NCAA violations when recruiting players after former coach Kelvin Sampson and his assistants made 577 improper phone calls to potential players. The changes include checks on telephone logs, a new rules manual and a new computer system to make sure all calls follow NCAA regulations. Sampson now coaches at Indiana, but Oklahoma wants to ensure the university does not encounter more violations. [12/14/06]
