Giles Transfers to Oregon State: Former Jayhawk center C.J. Giles has transferred to Oregon State two months after his dismissal from Kansas. Giles will be able to practice with the team, but he is ineligible to play until December 2007 and has less than two years of eligibility remaining. Both Giles and coach Jay John expressed optimism regarding the big man’s future at Oregon State. While at Kansas, trouble seemed to follow Giles wherever he went, eventually culminating in a misdemeanor battery charge involving an ex-girlfriend. Giles averaged about six points and four rebounds per game last season at Kansas. [1/08/07]
