Philadelphia University Coach Ties D-II Record: Herb Magee, who has been coaching for 40 years, tied the Division II wins mark held by Winston-Salem State’s Clarence “Big House” Gaines by getting his 828th career victory last night. Magee’s Philadelphia University beat Holy Family 63-56. At the end of the season, it is likely Magee will be fourth all-time in collegiate wins, behind Adolph Rupp, Dean Smith and Bob Knight.
