March Madness Lands on Forbes’ Most Valuable Sports Brand List: Forbes Magazine announced the Top 10 sporting events brands in the world, and the NCAA’s March Madness came in sixth. Forbes calculated the list by adding up the TV rights fees, sponsorship revenue from signage, ticket receipts and licensing revenue divided by the number of days of competition. Ahead of March Madness included the Summer Olympics and FIFA World Cup. The Super Bowl, worth $379 million, topped the list. [2/01/07]
