Mountain West Extends Suspensions of Wyoming and New Mexico Players: Wyoming’s top scorer, Brad Jones, and New Mexico’s Jamaal Smith were suspended for an additional game Thursday because of the brawl during New Mexico’s win Tuesday. They will both sit out the rematch between the two schools March 3 in addition to Saturday’s game. “I think it’s unfortunate for both institutions and certainly not part of our regular behavior and commitment to sportsmanship,” New Mexico coach Ritchie McKay said. “However, it happened, and we’re responsible for our role in it and hope it doesn’t happen again.” In addition, Wyoming player Joseph Taylor has been suspended indefinitely.
