Olson Condemns ‘Vicious, Vicious Rumor’: Arizona coach Lute Olson dismissed speculations that he has Parkinson’s disease as an untrue and a “vicious, vicious rumor” during his weekly news conference Tuesday. He said he heard the rumors, which apparently started after people noticed Olson’s hands shake, a couple of weeks ago and was asked about it in his radio show. He responded by pointing out he has physicals like everyone else and that he could even get his physician to make a statement if that wasn’t enough. Olson, 72, has a 587-186 record in 24 years at Arizona. He’s also a member of the basketball Hall of Fame. [3/01/07]
