Mid-Continent Conference Tournament Quarterfinals: In the second day of Mid-Continent Conference Tournament quarterfinal action, No. 4 IUPUI started the fun with a 71-59 victory against No. 5 Southern Utah. IUPUI’s defense dominated Southern Utah, which shot worse than 30 percent from the field and hit only 5-of-19 three-pointers. Junior guard Austin Montgomery led the Jaguars with 18 points. IUPUI will play No. 1 Oral Roberts in the semifinals. In the nightcap, No. 6 Missouri – Kansas City delivered the only upset of the quarterfinals. The Kangaroos beat No. 3 Valparaiso 84-76 to move into the semifinals, where No. 2 Oakland awaits. [3/04/07]
