Horizon League Tournament Championship: Usually, the No. 1 seed is the conference tournament favorite after claiming the regular-season title. But Wright State wasn’t favored against No. 2 Butler, despite the higher seed. DaShaun Wood was unstoppable in the 60-55 upset, scoring 27 points and accounting for nearly half the Raiders’ points. Wright State hit enough free throws in the closing seconds to hold off the Bulldogs’ comeback attempt. Will Graham connected on four free throws when Butler was forced to foul to extend the game. Despite the loss, Butler is still NCAA Tournament-bound, much to the chagrin of several bubble teams. [3/06/07]
