Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals: No. 3 North Carolina A&T broke open a close game in the second half to defeat No. 6 Norfolk State 81-66. Steven Rush led the Aggies with 18 points, one of four North Carolina A&T players to reach at least 10 points. Norfolk State trailed by only two at halftime before slipping further behind the Aggies during the second half. North Carolina A&T will play No. 2 Florida A&M in the semifinals. In the other quarterfinal of the evening, No. 5 Morgan State beat No. 4 South Carolina State 66-64. The Bears needed to work overtime to put away the Bulldogs and advance to the semifinals against No. 1 Delaware State. The teams remained close throughout as Morgan State led by only two at halftime.
