Mountain West Conference Tournament Semifinals: The top Mountain West teams emerged unscathed in a tournament of major upsets as No. 1 BYU will face No. 2 UNLV in the championship. BYU lit up No. 5 Wyoming 96-84, ending the Cowboys’ run after they beat No. 4 Air Force in the quarterfinals. Trent Plaisted scored a career-high 27 points despite missing nine free throws. The Cougars built a huge 25-point lead in the first half. Wyoming cut into the lead in the second half but could get no closer than seven. [3/09/07]
