Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament Championship: SWAC Player of the Year Trey Johnson scored 33 points and hit 5-of-8 three-pointers to lead the No. 2 Jackson State Tigers over the No. 1 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils in the SWAC Championship game 81-71. The win clinches a spot in the NCAA tournament for Jackson State. Johnson, who is second in the nation in scoring, was 12-of-21 overall from the field. Grant Maxey also had a double-double for Jackson State with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Carl Lucas had 22 points for Mississippi Valley State. [3/10/07]
