Bowling Green: Dakich Done at Bowling Green

Dakich Done at Bowling Green: Bowling Green coach Dan Dakich has decided to resign as the Falcons’ coach. Dakich coached the team for 10 years, guiding the team to two NIT appearances but no NCAA Tournament bids. He had accepted the West Virginia job in 2002 but decided to return to Bowling Green after only one week with the Mountaineers. Dakich sparked some controversy this season after he lambasted the officials in a press conference following an overtime loss to Buffalo. The MAC commissioner condemned Dakich’s tirade against the officials. With his contract expiring this season, Dakich said he will not seek a renewal. [3/15/07]
