Midwest Region – Second Round: No.5 Butler advanced to the Sweet 16 behind 19 points by junior A.J. Graves, upsetting No. 4 Maryland 62-59. The Bulldogs were aided by a questionable charging call on the Terps’ D.J. Strawberry late in the game. The tiny school from Indianapolis — whose gym is the setting of “Hoosiers” — was able to effectively circumvent Maryland’s press, committing only 12 turnovers. Graves outplayed Strawberry, who only scored eight points in the game. Maryland’s scoring was led by senior Mike Jones, who had 21 points and was 5-of-6 from three-point range. [3/17/07]
