Tony Bennett Named Coach of the Year: Washington State’s Tony Bennett was named Coach of the Year by the AP after a 26-8 season, good for second in the Pac-10. Bennett, 37, replaced his father, Dick, at Washington State this season. The Cougars were predicted to finish ninth in the Pac-10, but Bennett led them to their best season in 60 years.
