Altman to Stay at Creighton: After being introduced to Arkansas’ campus as the new men’s basketball coach, Dana Altman quit the following day, citing that it was in his family’s best interest for him to stay in Omaha, Neb., where he has coached and lived for 13 years. Arkansas is disappointed in Altman’s decision but will now start the search for a new coach. Possible candidates include Memphis coach John Calipari. But there is no timetable set for the second head coach to be announced for Arkansas. [4/06/07]
