Texas A&M Names Turgeon Coach: Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon is now the new head coach of Texas A&M, taking over Billy Gillispie’s position after he left for Kentucky. Turgeon previously coached for seven seasons at Wichita State, leading the team to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. He also was an assistant under Larry Brown and Roy Williams at Kansas. Gillispie had success at Wichita State with a 70-26 record and also led his team to the Sweet 16. [4/11/07]
