Huskies Freshman Stays Put: Connecticut center Hasheem Thabeet has decided to wait on the NBA and will play for UConn next season. The sophomore-to-be was rumored to be leaning toward leaving school early to earn NBA money because of his family’s financial status back home in Tanzania. However, the center will return, boosting the Huskies’ hopes to get back to the NCAA Tournament. Thabeet averaged 6.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in 31 games that he started last season.
