Cougar Trades Scholarship for Teammate: Washington State junior guard Taylor Rochestie will give up his scholarship after this season so the team can sign a highly coveted recruit from Florida. Rochestie said his family can afford to pay the school’s $25,000. With the extra scholarship, the Cougars will be able to sign Florida’s Marcus Capers, who averaged 17 points, six rebounds and four assists per game as a junior in high school. Coach Tony Bennett said he was amazed at Rochestie’s unselfishness. The Cougars hope to build on last season’s 26-8 record, one of the best seasons in school history. [10/6/07]
