Grand Valley State Shocks Michigan State: Division II Grand Valley State downed Big Ten favorite Michigan State 85-82 in a double-overtime exhibition game Friday night. Jason Jamerson and Justin Ringler led the Lakers with 19 and 16 points apiece, while Callistus Eziukwu chipped in 15 points. Eight of Eziukwu’s points came in the second overtime.
The Spartans were led by freshmen Chris Allen with 15 points and Kalin Lucas with 12 points. They were up 65-63 with 15 seconds left in regulation and then again up 75-71 in the last minute of the first overtime. Golden Valley State, however, held the lead throughout the second overtime.
