Calhoun Reprimanded by Big East: After criticizing Big East officials, Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun was reprimanded by the conference. Calhoun had been ejected after receiving two technical fouls in UConn’s win over Northeastern. The second technical was called after official Wally Rutecki heard Calhoun use profanity to address his players, prompting Calhoun to call Rutecki “a bad official” and “incompetent.” Calhoun later apologized in a written statement.
