Grinell Guard Sets Assists Record: David Arsenault had 34 assists in Grinell College’s 151-112 over North Central University of Minnesota. The Division III player set the NCAA record, which was previously held by Robert James of Kean University, who had 26 assists in a game. The Division 1 record is 22 assists, which is held by three players, including current Dallas Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson. Grinell is known for its high-octane style of play that emphasizes pressing and shooting threes.
