Sutton Returns to Sidelines to Go for No. 800: Former Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton will return to the sidelines — in San Francisco — with an opportunity to collect career win No. 800 this season. The Dons’ Jessie Evans will not coach the team for the rest of the season, and the school will not say if his absence is for personal reasons or potential wrongdoing considerations. Sutton retired from Oklahoma State with 798 career wins and shortly after a drunk driving incident. Sutton said he wants another opportunity to collect his 800th win as a Division I coach, which includes stints at Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma State. He added that he wanted to end his career with less controversy than when he retired in 2006. [12/27/07]
