Savannah State Breaks Record for Ice Cold Shooting: In an 85-25 blowout at Kansas State, Savannah State broke two NCAA records for scoring futility. The Tigers scored only four points in the second half, making only one field goal in 23 attempts. Those numbers are the worst in the shot-clock era of NCAA men’s basketball. The Tigers were outscored 48-4 in the second half. By the end of the game, even Wildcat fans were rooting for Savannah State players to make a shot. [1/08/08]
