Cougars Guard Hospitalized With Concussion: Washington State freshman reserve Stephen Sauls was hospitalized after he collapsed and had difficulty breathing because of a concussion he suffered during a team scrimmage Monday. Sauls was elbowed in the head and collapsed shortly after leaving the practice because of the blow. Team trainer Nick Galloto gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, getting Sauls to regain consciousness. Head coach Tony Bennet said the guard was doing better, but he’d be put through tests to assure he’s 100 percent healthy. Sauls, who was averaging 2.1 points per game, will likely miss games at USC and UCLA this week. He is expected to return this season.
