Saint Louis: Billikens Set Scoring Futility Record

Billikens Set Scoring Futility Record: For the second time this week, an NCAA team has set a record for failing to score. Saint Louis set the shot-clock era record low Thursday night at George Washington by scoring 20 points in the Billikens’ 49-20 loss. Saint Louis made only seven of 48 field goals attempts and one of 19 three-point attempts. The Billikens join Savannah State in the news and record books this week after the Tigers scored only four points in a half at Kansas State Monday. That’s good for the worst half in the shot-clock era. [1/11/08]
