Calhoun Plans to Be Back Tonight: After missing one game and a half, Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun will likely be back for the Huskies’ game tonight against Big East rival Providence. Calhoun left the bench during the second half of Connecticut’s win vs. St. John’s Jan. 8 and also missed last Saturday’s 72-69 loss at Georgetown. He said he has been suffering from a gastric problem, a recurring difficulty he’s had since he had a stomach operation as a young man, but is healthy enough to coach. The Huskies begin a tough stretch during the next month, playing No. 13 Marquette, No. 9 Indiana and No. 15 Pittsburgh in addition to multiple Big East matchups.
