Sooners’ Big Man Has Sprained MCL: Oklahoma leading scorer and rebounder Blake Griffin’s MRI has confirmed an MCL sprain on his left knee that could sideline him for as long as four weeks. The freshman forward suffered the injury after landing awkwardly less than five minutes into an 85-55 loss at No. 3 Kansas Monday. He had been named Big 12 Conference Rookie of the Week earlier that day. The 6-10 Griffin was averaging 15.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game for the Sooners.
