Bob Knight Wins No. 900: Texas Tech coach Bob Knight collected the 900th win of his career in the Red Raiders’ 68-53 upset of Texas A&M. Knight said he was relieved that he has passed the milestone so that the team will have one less distraction to worry about this season. Knight already has the most wins as a coach in Division I history. The Red Raiders won with suffocating defense, holding the Aggies to 34 percent shooting from the field. Defense has always been a hallmark of Knight’s teams in his 42 years as D-I coach. He won 100 games at Army, 662 at Indiana and 138 at Texas Tech. [1/18/08]
