Lawson Might Miss Duke Game: North Carolina coach Roy Williams is pessimistic about guard Ty Lawson playing in Wednesday’s match up against Duke. Lawson, a sophomore starter, didn’t return after injuring his left ankle early in the Tar Heels’ overtime win against Florida State. X-rays showed no broken bones, but Williams said he wouldn’t be sure about whether or not Lawson will play until Wednesday afternoon. The Tar Heel’s backup point guard, Bobby Frasor, is out for the year with torn knee ligaments, leaving third-stringer Quentin Thomas and starting swingman Marcus Ginyard, who is battling turf toe, as options at point guard for the Tar Heels.
