Cyclones Go Pink for Breast Cancer: Iowa State fans, players and coaches will help promote the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s Think Pink initiative today against Texas by wearing pink apparel and accessories. Cyclones coach Greg McDermott’s wife is a breast cancer survivor, so the event hit close to home in Ames. Players will have pink shoelaces, Texas and Iowa State coaches will wear pink ties, shirts or other clothing, and fans are encouraged to wear pink T-shirts. The awareness initiative starts today and lasts through Feb. 17.
