Sacramento State Dismisses Jenkins: Sacramento State has fired coach Jerome Jenkins after the Hornets finished a 4-24 season that did not include a spot in the Big Sky Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season. Jenkins finished with an 80-147 record in eight seasons as Sacramento State’s coach. The Hornets never made advanced further than the Big Sky semifinals under Jenkins. In the Big Sky Conference, only the top six regular-season teams play in the conference tournament. [3/08/08]
