Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship: No. 3 Western Kentucky ended No. 4 Middle Tennessee State’s run in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a 67-57 win to capture the Sun Belt title and NCAA Tournament automatic bid. Sophomore forward Jeremy Evans led three Hilltoppers in double figures with 20. He added 14 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Western Kentucky protected its lead by hitting 25-of-29 free throws in the game. With Western Kentucky in the tournament, South Alabama, the conference’s regular-season winner, must wait until Selection Sunday to see if the Jaguars will make the field as an at-large team.
