Big West Conference Tournament Quarterfinals: No. 3 Cal State Fullerton won its third game of the season against No. 7 UC Riverside, 81-69, to move into the semifinals against No. 2 Cal State Northridge. Junior guard Josh Akognon led the Titans with 20 points. Senior guard Frank Robinson added 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
No. 5 UC-Irvine held off No. 4 Pacific in a 57-56 win to move on to play No. 1 UC-Santa Barbara in the semifinals. The Anteaters preserved the win in the final seconds after the Tigers rallied but came up short on their final possession. Sophomore guard MIchael Hunter led UC-Irvine with 17 points. [3/13/08]
