Big Ten Conference Tournament Championship: No. 1 Wisconsin ended No. 10 Illinois’ run to the Big Ten championship game in a dominating 61-48 win. The Badgers held Illinois to 40.4 percent shooting from the field. Senior center Brian Butch had 12 points and four rebounds to lead the Badgers. In a slow-paced, mostly error-free game, Wisconsin and Illinois combined for only 18 turnovers and nine free throw attempts. Wisconsin was hot from the perimeter, hitting nine-three pointers.
