Freshman Guard to Depart Washington State: Stephen Sauls was granted a release from Washington State and will transfer to Texas, which is closer to his home in Missouri City. He withdrew from classes and returned home to receive treatment for a concussion he got in practice Jan. 7. Washington State will ask for him to receive a medical hardship so that he can keep four years of eligibility. He averaged just 2.1 points in eight games this season.
