Kings Pick First Senior of Draft: The Sacramento Kings are hoping Rider’s Jason Thompson will follow in the footsteps of Western Carolina’s Kevin Martin, who led the Kings with 23.7 points per game last season. Thompson is the first senior to go in the NBA Draft. He averaged 20.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game for the Broncs in his last season. Thompson is the first collegiate player from a non-major conference team to go in the draft.
